Volunteer Opportunities with Wragby ChEF (Children Eat Free)

Wragby ChEF runs entirely on volunteers. Whether you've got a couple of hours to spare or you'd like to get stuck in every week, there's a place for you.

Why Volunteer ?

Why people volunteer with us

There's no special qualification needed to join our community charity — just a willingness to help out. Our volunteers come from all walks of life. Some dedicate a regular morning each week, while others pitch in when they can. What they all share is a passion for helping children and being part of something that truly makes a difference in Wragby, like the Wragby ChEF program and Meals on Wheels.

You'll meet your neighbors, learn a few things in the kitchen, and go home knowing that someone had a good meal because you showed up.

The Roles

Cook

Help prepare traditional home cooked meals for our Meals on Wheels service. You don't need to be a chef — if you can peel veg and follow a recipe, you'll fit right in. Cooking regularly happens on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Deliver

Take freshly cooked meals out to residents around Wragby and the surrounding villages. A friendly face at the door matters just as much as the food. You'll need your own car and a couple of hours at lunchtime on Wednesdays or Fridays.

Serve in the Cafe

Help behind the counter, welcome people in, and keep things running smoothly. It's sociable, straightforward work — making tea, plating up, and having a chat.

Shelves stocked with canned goods, pasta, jars, and paper towels.

Community Larder

Help collect, sort, organise, and display the surplus food we collect from supermarkets. Keep the larder stocked and welcoming for everyone who comes through the door.
